Waterjet Stinger
Planting vegetation on a stream bank or planting
windbreaks is a great way to help stop erosion and stabilize stream banks.
However, even though the benefit is apparent, planting can be very
time consuming and strenuous.
The Portneuf Soil and Water Conservation District
has a waterjet stinger that is available to rent. The waterjet stinger is a
pump that works by using water
pressure to create a hole in a streambank where a willow or other
species can be planted. It can also be used to help plant trees
and shrubs for windbreaks.
